Vintage Tatum T-100 Jeweler's Rolling Mill - Seller Refurbished

l purchased this mill from Stern Jewelers 944 N. High St. Columbus Ohio in 1979 for ,200.00.  I was starting my own trade shop, and from my previous eight years learning the trade I'd worked for two of Columbus' premier jewelers and knew the importance of a high quality rolling mill.  Back then, Tatum and Filli-Cavallin were in competition with each other and were considered to be the two best manual rolling mills on the market.
I disassembled this mill, then polished, greased and oiled all of the working parts including all of the original nuts, bolts, washers, oil and grease caps, rollers, springs, and gears.  I also chemically reoxidized the gears that were oxidized, and refinished the wood handles with four coats of boiled linseed oil, then four coats of Carnauba wax.  I color matched the mill's painted parts at the Home Depot and bought premium enamel paints (two colors) and gave the painted parts three coats.
The mill operates as new.  I used just one of the arms in my shop, in the 12th photo you can see how to secure the key and be able to use only one handle, right or left.  The mill will be shipped with the handles removed and both the left and right arms will be secured with washers and hose clamps as pictured.  I will also include the mostly full containers of the paints that I used.  The mill and stand will be shipped in two different crates that I will build.
I was impressed with the way this mill was made, fairly simple but exacting.  You can see how the BERGEON JEWELRY/WATCH MANUAL ROLLING MILL model #5932 copied Tatum's design.  They are selling for three thousand dollars and are approx. half the size of the Tatum-100, this makes sense, because ,200.00 in 1979 equals approx. ,200.00 in today's money adjusted for inflation.
The polished part of the rollers measure 2.75" long and 2.0" in diameter.  The rollers open to approx 11mm.  The rollers can open to 14mm by removing and tightening the springs.  The mill has been oiled and greased so it can be disassembled easily, the largest two gears may need a light tapping with a nylon or rawhide hammer, but they do come off easily.  The Tatum-101 came with combination rollers for both wire and flat, but you will find that the almost 4" long flat surface by far out-weighs having the space consuming space of the combination rollers.  A good drawplate and tongs to draw wire is considered preferable by most professional jewelers to having combination rollers.  Combination rollers  can be found online at reasonable prices.  I found this company "Colorado Mill Equipment" which can make custom design rollers for one of a kind or limited edition artistic projects at a reasonable price.
I cannot find This Tatum-100 model online, so it must be rare.  I can't find any built-in obsolescence, so those that own them either keep them, give them to their children and/or grandchildren, or sell them to a local jeweler.    The stand measures 38.5" from bottom to top and weighs 60 lbs.  The mill measures approx. 16"L X 13.5"(at handle placement) and approx. 20.25" from the bottom to the top of the chrome plated steel roller height adjustment handle and weighs 90Lbs.  The darker blue part of the mill is made from cast steel, the lighter blue parts of the mill and the oxidized gears are made of forged steel, and the rollers were milled from alloyed steel.  One of the alloys used in the rollers can no longer be used due to the EPA's Metals Sector regulations.  The particular alloy that was used was to prevent rust.  There are no dents, pits, or rust on the rollers, they are smooth and clean.
