Prohibition Prescription Stub Whisky 4 Cold Pharmacy Doctor Bar Pleasantville NY
    Welcome
    &
Thank You for Shopping In the USA!
A great original Prohibition doctor's prescription stub for Whiskey...Oi (pint)...for a Cold! This prescription stub was retained by the prescribing doctor and open to inspection by Federal Officers. Please see photos!
From the days of Al Capone, speakeasies and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!
The whiskey was prescribed for Leander Hall, by Dr. Milton P. Hunter, both of Pleasantville, NY, on April 1, 1933. It was issued by the Treasury Department and when held to the light, PROHIBITION is partially watermarked.
The prescription stub measures 4 1/2" by 3", has one spot, otherwise, condition is excellent...a great, fun ditty from the Prohibition!
This is a FANTASTIC piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, museum, bar or office! I am happy to answer any questions, please feel free to email and thank you for your interest!
