Condition:
This is a wonderful collectible handblown glass penguin figurine made by the famous glass blowers Nigel Schroder and Gina Schroder in 2000, being offered in new condition in its original box.  There are no chips or scratches or cracks.  The colors are vibrant with no sign of any fading. The art piece has the Schroder label on the front of the penguin and it is signed on the bottom of the figurine with "NS 2000'.  This is a beautiful handmade figurine.  Please refer to the 12 photos included in this listing.

Beautiful Vintage 2000 Schroder's 5" studio handblown penguin figurine made in New Zealand.

Schroder's Studio Art Glass:
Schroder's art glass is all hand formed and hand blown using skill and techniques that are centuries old.  Nigel Schroder and Gina Schroder uses their own style and imagination which is reflected in everything they create in his art glass studio.  They melt their own glass using natural Silica Sand from Mount Somers in Canterbury.  It is heated in a gas fired furnace to 1350 degrees Celsius or 2462 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 hours.  The molten glass is then kept at a working temp of 1150 degrees Celsius or 2102 degrees Fahrenheit.  All of the finished glass is placed in an annealing oven and held at 500 degree Celsius or 932 degrees Fahrenheit.  The glass is then switched off to anneal for 15 hours.
