Springtail Types
Can different species of springtail be put together in the same habitat?
Yes! All species of springtails will breed and thrive in a majority of Tropical reptile habitats, Plant Vivariums, and even certain Aquarium Set ups like Paludariums.
Tropical White:
The Most popular and largest springtail in this listing. Can handle warmer environments (80+) and tends to climb cleaning
vines and plants.
Tropical Pink:
The same care are tropical white but has a slight pink hue and has longer antenna and tends to breed faster. Please note these are slightly pink. They were named Tropical Pink by the person who discovered them not by us. Please don't
expect Hot Pink.
Temperate:
The fastest breeding, tends to stay in the soil breeds well in cool environments and can also handle some warmth up to 85.
Silver:
These are a small springtail species, fast breeding and have a temp range of 70 to 88 degrees for optimum breeding.
Mini Blue Podura:
The smallest springtail we carry. These are tiny and you will need good eyesight or a magnifying
glass to see them in detail. This species lays large clusters of eggs (that can exceed 4cm!) and does very well in multiple environment types both cool and warm. This species has a slight blue hue. One of the top species for
vivariums.
Culture Types
Coco:
A safe way to ship springtails the soil will not crush them in transit. The springtail with bury throughout the coco. This method is best if you plan to dump the culture into your terrarium after it arrives.
Charcoal:
This is an old school method of keeping springtails. This is a basic way to keep springtail. A great economic way to get your own cultures for breeding. We do not recommend shipping Charcoal as it can have casualties.
Clay:
EuroClay is a mixture created by TC INSECTS. This substrates provides ideal breeding and Shipping Conditions. The culutres can last up to 9+ Months when taken care of.

Culture Sizes
Each springtail cup has a varying amount of springtails. Due to the food we feed them they breed fast. Meaning that some of the Older Cups can have more. These are sold as seeding
cultures
to help you start off your collection or project the right way. Here are the amounts packed

Please note that if you do not hold for pick up some may die in transit. When a springtail dies its body dehydrates into a speck of dust hard to see by the naked eyes. Please note to view the eggs you must have a powerful magnifying glass or microscope. They are very tiny!!
If you want to received all the springtails alive you must hold for pick up.
Quantities are not guaranteed for Charcoal Cultures, only coco and clay.
2oz Springtail Food
This is our custom mix formulated to make cultures boom. You can use this both in the culture and in the terrarium. In the culture cup add one small pinch directly to the middle. In the terrarium add one small pinch in the 2 back corners to boost springtail populations.

Some isopod cultures may contain very very small amounts of grain mites. The occurrence is rare. These
WILL NOT
harm your enclosure or animal. Simply feed leaf litter only and they will go away naturally in about a week. Asking for a culture to be completely mite free would double our prices and are available by request at
double the cost.

Live Arrival Information
Live Arrival Guarantee Policy(LAG):
1. Please know your temperatures, if below 45° or above 85° Hold at Post Office MUST BE ADDED (message us through Ebay). If below 45° a heat pack needs to be added. If over 85° a cool pack needs to be added.
Weather Underground
is the only accepted source for temperatures.
2. If there is a problem or DOA* with your order notify us within 1 hour of shipment, retain the order box, insect/animal, etc. All orders are over packed to compensate for injuries in shipping.
3. Someone must be home to accept the package, guarantees are void if no one is available to accept package and its left outside or in a hot/cold mailbox.
6. Shipping charges do apply to all replacement orders and returns. MARKED NO HOLD. Free Replacement with Hold
7. Orders not following the above listed  policies will receive live animals, at your own risk with no LAG.

animals. Remove the animals and place them on their backs on a Paper Towel or White Paper. Write your eBay User Name on the Paper. Take the picture so we are able to count the animals.
