    Description
    Fine looking IOOF litho for the membership acceptance of "A.J. Leighton"
    to the Karns City PA Lodge No. 931. Dated May 8, 1898.
    Great colors and scenery. Measures a huge 27 x 21.
    Andrew J. Leighton (often spelled Layton) was a longtime resident of Parker PA.
    There is a handwritten note that his membership was transferred to the Bruin (PA) Lodge No. 534 in 1923.
    Leighton died in 1950 at the IOOF home in Grove City PA.
    It appears he never married and lived his final years with sister Elizabeth.
    Please review all of the images including some census records.
    The litho is in VG condition with some minor wear at the borders, and was printed on fairly heavy stock, but not quite that of poster board.
    This would make a great IOOF or family collectible and should be framed.
